Objective: This course, with a special focus on global and domestic air logistics and transportation regulations, aims to introduce the basic concepts of air logistics and transportation within the context of theoretical knowledge. The effecting properties of international aviation logistics and transportation will be considered within the light of international and domestic air law. It aims for the students to perceive the framework and developments of the international aviation logistics and transportation parallel with aviation industry developments. Within this scope, it has also been targeted to introduce various concepts and sub concepts of air logistics and transportation to enable students to understand the reciprocal effects of global and domestic aviation regulations and laws. The course begins with the general explanations of international aviation, air logistics and transportation and continues with introduction of main global institutions, associations and regulations for international and domestic air logistics and transportation.
Content: This course is mainly in the content of the theory and implementations of international air logistics and transportation with their institutions, associations and regulations, deregulations within the context of academic knowledge of international aviation logistics. The course content is also intended to provide students with a theory based understanding of the structure and processes and business aspects of global aviation industry and its role in the context of international air logistics and transportation. The course content is designed for students to have a better view of international air logistics and transportation in the light of the air transportation concept and sub concepts in order to integrate the current implementation and approaches to future applications of air logistics and transportation.
